The Bank of Japan Hiroshima BranchPosted by Steve Rice (Olympia, United States) on 22 January 2007 in Architecture and Portfolio. Although only 380 meters from the A-bomb hypocenter, this building survived with only minor structural damage and remained in service as a bank until 1992. It's now a museum and houses millions of paper cranes sent to the Children's Memorial, in the Peace Memorial Park, from all over the world. Thanks to Ali G. for letting me know it exists.
