Shiba

Anyone know this breed? I've been told these dogs are known as Shiba. They are gorgeous.

Check out a couple of my previous posts - 狐物語 - (Kitsune Monogatari) and Hair of the Dog. We brought a shiba back to Canada from Japan back in November and without exaggeration everytime we go out we ge comments on how beautiful she is - they are very smart, very clean (althought they do shed a lot) and very quiet dogs. OUr shiba really is a dream dog.

Yes, shiba are Japanese dogs. They are THE most common dog over here. They're my favourite dog. . .

We have three Shibas. What a cutie this one is!

@Kerri: I'm sure you must really enjoy them. I was very impressed by all the Shibas I saw in Japan. Besides being beautiful, they seemed to be quite intelligent. They were delightful.
