Sacred Tree

I stopped by a shrine on the temple walk that had a huge, beautiful tree. Since it had its own shimenawa, I assume it is sacred. A large boulder was similarly adorned.

I was really attracted to the thumbnail, but the larger image did not have the same impact. I agree with Daniel, perhaps cropping out the distracting edges and staying with just bark and shemenawa?
