Pottery Firing 3Posted by Steve Rice (Olympia, United States) on 21 January 2008 in Lifestyle & Culture. A very hot fire of juniper wood is built around the sheet metal container holding the pottery.

@Csong: Juniper burns quite hot and makes a good heat source. Just as importantly, it is very abundant in this part of the country. Other woods would probably work just fine but are unavailable to the artists. |
