Super amazing shot Steve, it's hard to get the scale, but are those caves or dwellings on the ridge, maybe even stairs...? probably not, but fascinating all the same.

@Observing: I don't think there are any dwellings nor stairs there. To get a sense of the scale, note the small road in the foreground of the picture. These badlands, like those in the Dakotas, don't have huge formations but are very rugged and seem to stretch as far as you can see.
