Ana Lúcia from Leiria, PortugalOh my -- those hues are just spectacular Steve... just extraordinary! and what a view. 17 Aug 2008 8:57am Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaWhat could be more beautiful! Love the natural colors, Steve. 17 Aug 2008 6:59pm Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomSuper amazing shot Steve, it's hard to get the scale, but are those caves or dwellings on the ridge, maybe even stairs...? probably not, but fascinating all the same. 17 Aug 2008 10:50pm @Observing: I don't think there are any dwellings nor stairs there. To get a sense of the scale, note the small road in the foreground of the picture. These badlands, like those in the Dakotas, don't have huge formations but are very rugged and seem to stretch as far as you can see. |
