Old telephone poles mark the course of the famous Route 66 which went from Chicago, Illinois to Los Angeles, California.

Part of The Great American West series.

Very Good B&W Shot....Gives Such an "abandoned" kinda feel..reminds me of movie "Cars" and the abandoned route in that

@Arps: According to a Route 66 web site I found, the movie is based on Route 66 and some of the people and places found along it.

Lovely historical shot, how about the road.. is it still the old original one ?

@Observing: In this instance, the original road is gone. It has been replaced by an interstate highway. In fact, Route 66 was decommissioned in 1985. However, as you travel through the West, some sections of the original highway remain and are marked with "Historic Route 66" signs. One such section that comes to mind is in Flagstaff, Arizona.
