Spring on Mt. RainierPosted by Steve Rice (Olympia, United States) on 27 August 2008 in Landscape & Rural. Yes, it's August but the wildflowers think it's spring at Paradise on Mount Rainier. Paradise sits at the 5,400 foot (1,646 meters) level. In the background is the Tatoosh Range with Mount Adams further back. Mount Rainier National Park, Washington, USA.

The Tatoosh range looks like a watercolor...? Lovely image Steve. 27 Aug 2008 8:36am Isao from isère, Francetrés jolie photo, on hésite avec une toile !

A solid shot which is very attractive. Added to my VFXY collection today. 27 Aug 2008 5:55pm paulski from Muncie, IN, United Statesbeautiful colors; is the bg photoshopped? looks almost like a watercolor\...excellent! 28 Aug 2008 2:07am @paulski: I think the effect you see is a depth of field phenomenon. The point of focus, the flowers, is fairly close leaving the background out of focus. DarkElf from Perth, Australiagreat composition and depth fo field - the flowers in the foregorund are so full of life and colour... mountains in teh cbakgroudn look almost painted on as an afterthought... 28 Aug 2008 2:24am |
