Grays Harbor Light StationPosted by Steve Rice (Olympia, United States) on 12 September 2008 in Architecture. The Grays Harbor Lighthouse in Westport is the tallest in Washington at 107 feet (32.6 meters). It was completed in 1898 and stood 400 feet (122 meters) from the high tide line. It is now 3,000 feet (914 meters) from the high tide line due to Columbia River silt settling out along this stretch of coast.

Kylie Greenan from Richmond, AustraliaRemarkably crisp image, wonderful POV Steve, you have a very strong composition, great image! 12 Sep 2008 6:04am Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomEverything about this station looks neat and orderly, and I like how America has its flag flying on various buildings across the country. I wish the UK would too, but it dosen't, it's not politically correct, they say. Nice BW image Steve, very clean and good contrast. 12 Sep 2008 6:49pm Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaA lovely crisp clarity makes this image special, Steve. 13 Sep 2008 3:11am DonLon from Providence, RI, United StatesVry nice Lighthouse.
