I love also the vignetting that you introduced to keep the eyes within the picture. A capturing picture 26 Mar 2009 7:35am P J W Miller from Chase Terrace, United KingdomSo, are these the Cape cruisers or Crusaders. Either way a fine image of no doubt two super vessels and I think the mono makes it more powerful than being in colour. One thing I would mention is you seem to have some darkness in all corners, what is known as vignetting. This is caused by a reduction in intensity of illumination near the edges of an optical instrument's field of view caused by obstruction of light rays by the edge of the aperture. Can be a result of the elements used in the lens are too small or if you have a lens hood attached. It is always possible that they were intentional though. 26 Mar 2009 7:48am @P J W Miller: I introduced that in post processing thinking it made things look a little better. Mike from Lichfield, United KingdomI'm guessing the vignetting has been put there on purpose. A very well composed image of two hugely imposing vessels. Great work. 26 Mar 2009 8:24am Charles from New York, United StatesMajestic ships.
