SequoiaPosted by Steve Rice (Olympia, United States) on 31 March 2009 in Plant & Nature. On an excursion to Tacoma,WA, USA, I was pleased to encounter some Sequoias in a park. The thick bark is quite rugged and serves the trees well since it resists fire, insects and other perils thus helping the trees live centuries.
