Currin Covered Bridge

Built in 1925, this 105 foot (32 meter) bridge of the Howe truss type spans the Row River in Lane County, Oregon, USA. It no longer carries vehicular traffic. The white portals and red sides make this the prettiest of the covered bridges I've seen so far.

Yes, it is a nice looking bridge, and they gave it good solid foundations too. I like how you've included some countryside in the background.

Portrayed in colour this time but none the less interesting, I have seen some of these bridges but only in horror films

@Veronique: The Pacific Northwest gets lots of rain. The bridges were made of wood and were covered to protect the beams from deterioration.

It's encouraging to see that covered bridges are alive and well! :-) This is a heritage that hopefully will be preserved. This one looks very well maintained. Fine image.
