Hayden Covered BridgePosted by Steve Rice (Olympia, United States) on 29 April 2009 in Architecture and Portfolio. Built in 1918, this 91 foot (27.7 meter) bridge of the Howe truss type spans the Alsea River in Benton County, Oregon, USA. It has a 27 ton (24.5 metric ton) load limit. Note the flared sides and the wooden piers. The portals were once rounded but were changed to accommodate larger loads. Part of the Covered Bridges of Oregon series.

Bill Jennings from Los Altos (Bay Area Calif), United StatesI really like this bridge in the series. How does this look in sepia tone? Great angle, and love the ability to read the sign in crisp detail. Well done. 29 Apr 2009 5:23am dj.tigersprout from New York City, USA, United Statesexcellent b/w -- powerful framing and shot!!! 29 Apr 2009 6:35am Peggy M. from somewhere in, FranceI like effect, with this view !
