Hayden Covered Bridge

Built in 1918, this 91 foot (27.7 meter) bridge of the Howe truss type spans the Alsea River in Benton County, Oregon, USA. It has a 27 ton (24.5 metric ton) load limit. Note the flared sides and the wooden piers. The portals were once rounded but were changed to accommodate larger loads.
