Wendling Covered Bridge

Posted by Steve Rice (Olympia, United States) on 13 May 2009 in Architecture.

Built in 1938, this 60 foot (18.3 meter) bridge of the Howe truss type spans Mill Creek in Lane County, Oregon, USA. It has a 10 ton (9.1 metric ton) load limit.

Part of the Covered Bridges of Oregon series.

As-tu une idée de combien de ponts couverts il y a aux USA ???

@Marie LC: Pennsylvania has 200, the most of any state. Oregon has 50. Iowa has a few (the Bridges of Madison County and a few others). I don't know about other states but suspect the New England area has quite a few.

It's incredible how many bridges and how well maintenance they have. Very good.
