Earnest Covered BridgePosted by Steve Rice (Olympia, United States) on 16 May 2009 in Architecture. Built in 1938, this 75 foot (22.3 meter) bridge of the Howe truss type spans the Mohawk River in Lane County, Oregon, USA. It has a 9 ton (8.2 metric ton) load limit. Part of the Covered Bridges of Oregon series.

I was recently in Oregon and saw several bridges that had been moved to parks in towns. I also saw a number of small bridges that were out on rural roads carrying lots of traffic.
