Gammon Launch

U.S. Highway 101 is the main route along the Oregon coast. However, most of the images in this series were made possible by traveling small, coast hugging, scenic byways that parallel Highway 101. I happened upon this scene while traveling one of these. The sweep of beach, looking north, caught my eye and caused me to stop. I then noticed this hang glider launch area.

A fine shot in more than one way. I like the documentation of the launch site... a fine item to discovery and shoot. The long, picturesque beach is a fine coastal shot all by itself. The "total" is makes a fine picture.
