Very well done !! 6 Jul 2009 2:27pm hugo poon from hong kong, Hong KongOh Steve, this is such an enjoyable series!:-) Beautiful POV and great pattern... BTW, I'm somehow amazed by how well this old lighthouse has been maintained, both the interior and external! 6 Jul 2009 2:54pm @hugo poon: This is still a working lighthouse (although the light is automated, of course) and is maintained by the federal Bureau of Land Management which charges a small fee to visit. Apparently, the fee revenue goes to help maintain the building and grounds. It is very well maintained. There is quite a hodgepodge of responsibilities when it comes to maintaining these old structures. Some are maintained by the State of Oregon, some by counties, some by the federal government, and some are joint arrangements. Terrible Tilly is privately owned. However, I believe the automated lights are maintained by the Coast Guard in most cases. Don from spokane, United StatesThe stairway makes a fine graphic image. I like how you caught some people in the shot which adds an immediate feel to the image. Nice one. 6 Jul 2009 3:06pm JamesC from portland, United StatesLove this in black & white and the inclusion of people in this image.
