Cape Arago LighthousePosted by Steve Rice (Olympia, United States) on 10 August 2009 in Architecture. If you drive to Sunset Bay State Park and park next to the boat launch, you'll find an unmarked trail that heads up into the forest. After about 20 minutes of plowing through the brush, you'll find a paved road that leads to this vantage point. You can't drive this road because a Coast Guard station has it blocked further down. You get a great view of the lighthouse and the closed bridge leading out to it. A sign on the bridge warns that the Coast Guard does not maintain the bridge. In other words, "Keep Off". Part of the Oregon Coast series.
