Cape Arago Rookery

Posted by Steve Rice (Olympia, United States) on 11 August 2009 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.

As I was admiring the view in yesterday's photo, the sky began getting crowded with birds headed for these trees a few yards from where I was standing. I then noticed the nests. I believe the adults must have been out fishing and were returning with the morning catch.

Part of the Oregon Coast series.
