Hen PursePosted by Steve Rice (Olympia, United States) on 21 August 2009 in Cityscape & Urban. Last month, I went on the sixth annual Tour de Coops. Until this year, I had never heard of this event which is comprised of a tour of backyard chicken coops in Portland, Oregon, USA. It is sponsored by Growing Gardens an organization that assists low income people with setting up vegetable gardens in their own backyards. To go on the tour, you buy a $10 pamphlet that has maps to the homes of people participating in the open house. The proceeds from the event help support Growing Gardens. The lady who sold me my tour pamphlet owns this purse.

Must be fun to carry around such purse and people would think someone is carrying an actual hen. 21 Aug 2009 6:47am Viewfinder from Bradenton, FL, United StatesDidn't know of such things. Backyard chicken coops may become a wave of the future as our economy ebbs and flows in erratic ways. Not as sure of the purses, although as they go, this is a very nice photo of the one you saw. 21 Aug 2009 12:46pm MARIANA from Waterloo, CanadaThat is really looking sexy :)) ha ha I have so many purses and this one I miss in my collection :)) 21 Aug 2009 1:14pm PD from Overland Park, Kansas, United StatesHmmm, my wife has every other kind of purse - she probably needs this one too! 21 Aug 2009 2:35pm Don from spokane, United StatesThat's a remarkable looking purse!
