Hen Purse

Last month, I went on the sixth annual Tour de Coops. Until this year, I had never heard of this event which is comprised of a tour of backyard chicken coops in Portland, Oregon, USA. It is sponsored by Growing Gardens an organization that assists low income people with setting up vegetable gardens in their own backyards. To go on the tour, you buy a $10 pamphlet that has maps to the homes of people participating in the open house. The proceeds from the event help support Growing Gardens.
The lady who sold me my tour pamphlet owns this purse.

Nice purse. Must be fun to carry around such purse and people would think someone is carrying an actual hen.

Didn't know of such things. Backyard chicken coops may become a wave of the future as our economy ebbs and flows in erratic ways. Not as sure of the purses, although as they go, this is a very nice photo of the one you saw.
