Cedar Covered BridgePosted by Steve Rice (Olympia, United States) on 11 October 2009 in Architecture. The original bridge, built in 1883, was destroyed by arson in 2002. This 76 foot (23.2 meter) replica, of the Town Lattice truss type, was dedicated in October, 2004. The original blueprints were used in construction of the replica. It spans Cedar Creek in Madison County, Iowa, USA. It has a 4 ton (3.3 metric ton) load limit. Part of the Bridges of Madison County series.
