Cutler-Donahoe Covered Bridge

Built in 1870, this 79 foot (24.1 meter) bridge of the Town Lattice truss type spans a ditch in the Winterset City Park since being moved there in 1970. For the first century of its existence, it spanned the North River in Madison County, Iowa, USA. Note the pitched roof.

This old bridge looks beautifully maintained/restored. The pitched roof looks steep enough to shed snow.

Interesting angle you captured this from. I first thought the bridge was leaning when I saw the bold white angled lines. :-) Great color and background.

Beautiful picture; great processing and well deserved old-feel framing :) Maybe tones like you used yesterday would be also perfect for one of your bridge collection . I loved yesterdays shot and those fabulous tones .

@Kiki: For its first 100 years, it crossed a river. It was then moved to this park.
@Mahboubeh: I am fond of these old bridges. However, this series was inspired by you romantic ladies from around the world. :-)
