The magnificent sky is a great decor! 15 Oct 2009 5:13am MrsAmber from West Wickham, United KingdomWhat a lovely shot of this old building. It looks like a sleepy place...but great history! 15 Oct 2009 7:05am Zahai from Berlin, Germanyhmm, ist there wires extending from the top of the building, or does it just look like that? and if there are, why are they there? to keep the dome from floating away? in any case, the lines add a lot of interest/mystery to the picture :) 15 Oct 2009 10:00am @Zahai: I called the Madison County Engineer's office to get an answer to your question as to the purpose of those wires. The lady I spoke to had an answer. Ready for this? Christmas lights! At Christmas, the lights on the wires are turned on. She said that it's quite pretty with those lights and the rest of the square lighted. I imagine she's correct. Being too difficult to put up and take down every year, the wires and lights remain in place. zOOm from Paris, FranceA great architecture ! Great idea and creativity for the frame ! Good job ! 15 Oct 2009 10:31am Bob from Shelton, United StatesI'm thinking the wires have to do with lightning protection... 15 Oct 2009 11:56am Steven from Chicagoland, United StatesA capture of the courthouse that is well-framed by the mature trees. I, too, was wondering about the guyed wires and thought it had something to do with the structural integrity of the dome. 15 Oct 2009 12:41pm Nazzareno from Rome, ItalyA great shot.. superb architecture ! 15 Oct 2009 12:41pm dj.tigersprout from New York City, United Statescrisp, clear -- a beautiful lighting too!! love your ragged paper edges -- how do you do that? gorgeous! 15 Oct 2009 1:06pm MARIANA from Waterloo, CanadaGreat quality of the shot .
