It is funny because this morning I also show dunes, in Morocco. Beautiful curves and light on yours, I like the desert.

I dream of that every nights... :-) Like the softness of light and tones. And it's funny to see the snow on the mountains background, what a contrast !!!

If that is someone walking up the dunes, it really puts it into perspective how large this is. Interesting how you make mention of footprints everywhere when this looks undisturbed and smooth as silk.

2 Jun 2010 6:51pm

@Steven: Look at the edges of the dune. Those shadows are footprints; they were everywhere.

It is common to walk the edge? Sounds.. dangerous and cliché when you say it like that. So is that a photographer out there? He really puts the size of these hills into perspective.

3 Jun 2010 2:25am

@Dutch: Actually, some of the dunes are covered with tracks from top to bottom. It seems to be pretty safe. Yes, that is a photographer.

Viewfinder from Bradenton, FL, United States

Awesome! Reminds me of the old movie "Dune" - the sands of Arrakis and Paul Muad'Dib.
