Kopi LuwakPosted by Steve Rice (Olympia, United States) on 24 April 2012 in Food & Cuisine. This is some of the world's most expensive coffee. It is available in limited quantities because the coffee berries have been eaten by the Asian Palm Civet. The civet cat eats the berries for their fleshy pulp and the beans pass through its system in tact. However, the beans are affected by the enzymes in the cat's stomach. The result is the smoothest cup of coffee I've ever had. This cup of coffee cost, with tax, IDR 121,000 (US$ 13.25). Definitely, the most expensive I've ever had but worth it. Around Ubud
