During the heat of early afternoon, 100°F (37.8°C), we went to the small town of Mitchell, Oregon which was around nine miles from the National Monument. This general store had cold drinks and ice cream on hand among other essentials.

Excellent color and fine detail here...and, of course, the bikes are just intrinsically special.

This has all the "feel" of the wild west and the cinematic quality of old cowboy movies, just needs a few horses in place of Hondas :-)

I'm expecting to see a cowboy on a horse. Is that town really like that, or is it for the tourists ?

@Michael Fresh: What you see is what you get, I think. There just isn't much here.

Phil Morris from Saskatoon, Toronto, Canada

A very beautiful image, love this scene where time seems to have stood still except
for the people stopping by.

what a perfect cloud in the sky ... and the saloon still attracts the cowobys, it seems, though on horses of a different kind ... ;-))
