Location, Location, LocationPosted by Steve Rice (Olympia, United States) on 29 August 2012 in Architecture. Being built in this alcove high on the cliff, the pueblo was safe from enemies and the weather. When the sun was high in the sky in summer, the pueblo was shaded. In the winter, when the sun was lower, the place was warmed by its rays. A water source, Beaver Creek, runs nearby. Location mattered as much, if not more, then as now.
