Built in 1938, this 42 foot (12.8 meter) bridge of the Queenpost truss type spans the North Fork Yachats River in Lincoln County, Oregon, USA. It has a 10 ton (9.1 metric ton) load limit. Note the faded red color.

Part of the Covered Bridges of Oregon series.

Another splendid image! I love the composition and natural beauty. If I were you, I'd crop an inch or so from the top, to make it more impactful...

Another fine bridge to share with us. I enjoy seeing these bridges very much. This one has a special effect in that the opening at the end of the bridge has the effect of making that scene seem extra bright - gets lots of attention. It's just contrast I suppose, but very effective. Nice shot.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your comments, I appreciate it.

I like your bridge series, simple and elegant.

I had a look through your archives and had a look at your Japan shots, I liked your work from Hiroshima, hopefully I will be traveling down there soon.

Cheers

Will
