This lady was perched on Devil's Bridge while her fiancee and parents shot pictures of her for a wedding announcement. I took a few shots too.
Part of the Devil's Bridge series.

Wow, a little vertiginous, isn't it?
Beautiful portrait of this lady and beautiful space also in b/w.
I imagine the color version also, it has to be powerful :)

@dj.tigersprout: I went part way over.
Beautiful BW shot . Great framing ! Lovely girl enjoying hot rocks :))

She's found a fine spot with some "safe" area around her. I like the light color of the rock surface with the deeper green areas on either side. Nice one.

an excellent shot!! I love how the surroundings almost appear to blend into each other :)
4 Nov 2009 4:37pm
A bit to close to the edge for me Steve, but it's without doubt a perfect mono image.

what an awesome atmosphere!

.. what a scene .. what a composition.. perfect in B/W .. it took my eyes a few seconds to discern the foreground bridge from background trees .. seems like an illusion of some sort -- very effective . love this.

"Authorities turn their attention to the bride's recent binge on Halloween candy in the untimely collapse of Devil's Bridge."
You sure have been running into some daring people when it comes to ledges. As daring as it seems, this is one awesome capture where there is such a large void of open space around this bride-to-be, particularly when you see how small she is in comparison to how large the trees are below.

Cool scene--and a very brave girl. This shot makes my palms sweat. :)
many thanks for your visit to "paris blog"

Voyeur. Hahaha! Joking aside, this is a really good shot. Somehow the BW choice gives it a timeless feel, too. Kudos to you.

A very cool shot with a vintage feel. I really like the black and white, and this feels like it could be something from the 1950's. Nice!

Bravo ! I Like it ...good feeling !

This is a brilliant composition Steve...the girl seems to be one with her environment...love the depth, detail, tone...perfect!!
5 Nov 2009 3:29am
I like the sense of scale... strange, she seems like a giant! My mind tells me the surroundings are much larger scale than they really are.
