Brocade

Posted by
Steve Rice (Olympia, United States) on 6 July 2010 in Abstract & Conceptual.

This pattern is at the bottom of a pool in Salt Creek. It seems to be some sort of algae.

Death Valley National Park
Part of The Great American West series.

Gosh! Fascinating one... Brocade; yes. Could also be a microscope slide, or even an aerial view over a mountain range. Works as a good maze too (I found the way to the centre by the way...).

Dutçh from Chicagoland, United States

The pattern is really amazing, fractal in nature as.. nature is fractal :) I almost thought it was some kind of brocade too but then it seemed way too organic for a woven cloth.. clever catch.
