World's Largest Egg

Posted by
Steve Rice (Olympia, United States) on 25 July 2010 in Documentary & Street and Portfolio.

Closer to home, this egg is in Winlock, WA, USA. I first heard of this attraction decades ago when I asked someone from Winlock, what there was to see there. The answer, "Well, there's the giant egg." I finally went to see this marvel a few weeks ago.

Part of the Roadside Oddities Series

That's a statue, but is that to suggest there was an egg that size and what was it, dinosaur?

25 Jul 2010 9:00pm

@Dutçh: No, it's just a promotion for the egg and poultry co-op. It's very much a small town thing, I think.

This is awesome! Looks like the attractions we used to stop at traveling cross country in the car in the 1970's! Someone asked me, "Why don't you guy's fly to travel?" I would say now," because we would not get to see awesome things like this!" Nice, Steve!
