Star Trails Over Mount Rainier

Posted by
Steve Rice (Olympia, United States) on 24 September 2010 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

The lights you see on the right side of the mountain are from Camp Muir which is at 10,080 feet (3.1 kilometers) elevation. Climbers overnight there. The lights would come on and off and move around a bit. I assume climbers were preparing for the ascent.
