The Fremont Troll

Posted by Steve Rice (Olympia, United States) on 12 October 2010 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio.

Located under the Aurora Avenue Bridge in the Freemont District of Seattle, WA, the Freemont Troll sits brooding. He has his left hand on a real VW Beetle. The fellows were positioning themselves for a leap off the troll. By the time I saw what they were doing, it was over.

Part of the Roadside Oddities Series

Wow - great shot - great lighting - extraordinary sculpture! Well spotted - the guys standing on the Troll make the shot - and the blur effect is an outstanding capture of the moment. I love the VW Beetle in the Troll's hand!
