It takes a panorama to adequately show the expansive terrain of rolling hills, trees and fields. A wonderful shot I wish we could show much larger…even if it mean scrolling across. Well done.

To travel along with you would be so informative and interesting of the amazing
locations you always seem to find. Reminds me of the weather barriers that were
planted on the open prairie. Beautiful panorama.

Is that a panoramic camera or is it something you cropped?

@The#1AcePhotog: Just a number of frames from my usual camera stitched together. No special hardware.

Michael Fresh from Chester, United Kingdom

A captivating scene, and one I associate with the mid western states, but possibly in error :0

9 Oct 2011 2:03am

@Michael Fresh: I grew up in Iowa, which the locals have taken to calling the "Heartland". I always thought of it as pretty flat but it's not as I discovered when flying above it in a light aircraft. The land looks more like large ocean swells so, the rolling plains description does apply. There are parts of Nebraska, for example, that are very flat and very boring to drive through. I think the landscape of the Palouse is unique in the U.S. At least, I haven't seen anything like it elsewhere.
