Kam Tin Tree House

Posted by
Steve Rice (Olympia, United States) on 13 October 2013 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

The story is that this stone and brick house was abandoned during the Ch'ing Dynasty following an imperial edict on coastal evacuation. The house may have been a temple or a study hall. In any case, the owner never returned and the banyan tree next to it grew larger and larger finally enveloping it.
