Agave After the Bloom

This plant bloomed this year and died. All it's energy goes into the flower stalk, blossoms, and seeds. On this hike, I saw a plant with a green flower stalk even though the leaves were already withering.

Since I was pretty close to this plant, I shot a two frame vertical panorama.
