Glover House

Posted by
Steve Rice (Olympia, United States) on 28 September 2015 in Cityscape & Urban.

The dark grey building on the right, now known as No. 30 Apartment, was built in 1916. It is Japan's oldest high rise reinforced concrete apartment building. It served as miner housing and had a shop in the basement.

The No. 31 Apartment, on the left, was also miner housing and contained a communal bath, post office, and barbershop.
