We have just ascended from street level to the Peace Park. This is my second visit to try for some decent photos. Across the street, on the corner, is a convenience store which is part of the Family Mart chain. Convenience stores in Japan are clean, well lighted and completely devoid of the feeling you are about to get mugged or worse. They also sell rice balls, those brilliant inventions, and bottled tea. This makes a great breakfast when you are on the go.
I tried the buffet, at my hotel, the first morning in Nagasaki. It was good but had way too much food to try and way too many people.
