This is the western facade of Tokyo Station that survives from its opening in 1914. The station serves in excess of 3,000 trains per day. The underground shops surrounding the station almost seem like a city beneath the city. Ramen Street is great for its Tokyo style ramen which is delicious. Another cluster of shops sells nothing but cute toys. At one of those, I bought Alex some high quality metal toys: a Boeing 777 airliner and a Shinkansen.
