Omote-sando is a street with lots of high-end shopping that runs from Harajuku to Aoyama and is lined with several buildings by contemporary Japanese architects. On the weekend, the street is packed with people on both sides of the street. So, I went early in the day to see some of the architecture.
This very high-end shopping mall replaced a pre-WWII apartment building. The low horizontal design is a nod to the original structure. Inside, where no photos are allowed, ramps spiral up past very upscale shops.

I'll be busy the next few weeks. Commenting will be spotty at best.
