Located about 35 miles (56 kilometers) west of Bryce Canyon National Park, this beautiful spot has a very similar geology. It's formations are mainly west facing so late light is best. I arrived at the national monument on the last day the visitor's center was open for the season. However, all the trails and viewpoints remain open until snow closes the highway which usually happens in mid-November. A larger view is here.
