Lower & Upper

Posted by
Steve Rice (Olympia, United States) on 15 September 2017 in Landscape & Rural.

On the extreme left and right of the frame, you see small slivers of the lower and upper prairies respectively. Of course, that's the Wall in between. This is from the Big Badlands Overlook, also.

Tomorrow, let's take a little break in Oregon. It has to be warmer there. Right?

Les différentes périodes sont réellement bien marquées par les teintes des sédiments.
Combien de siècles pour offrir de tels paysages ?
Bonne journée Steve

@Pascale MD: The erosion that we see today began around 500,000 years ago.

If all these small mountains were white, they would remind me certain glaciers of the Alps who offer more or less the same landscape

It's good that you pointed out the slivers of land on either side. The bulk of the landscape is the rugged and very impressive country.
