Before We Go, One Last Thing

Posted by
Steve Rice (Olympia, United States) on 12 October 2017 in Landscape & Rural.

I wanted to show you one last view of the Door Trail. It's a highly eroded area with deep gullies all around. It would be very easy to get disoriented, especially in the dark, even though it's a short trail. So, you navigate by these numbered posts. The white band is very reflective. When I tried the unsuccessful sunrise shoot out here, I found they work really well. Your flashlight (torch) beam really lights them up.

This concludes our visit to Badlands National Park.

Sir - First off - THANK YOU for your correction of my post and for providing the proper name of that peak! When I saw the name, It totally made sense....Tank You So Very Much, Steve ;-)........
As for the post today, can imagine how confusing and distressing this area would be - can you imagine settlers moving west - how terrible that would be - to get disoriented and lost...Great post sir - and thanks again ;-)

I could even see getting disoriented in the daytime walking through there. But at night would definitely be confusing. I love the colors and shapes.
