Beside the parkway that runs along Capitol Lake, I saw this fellow harvesting nut pods from these trees. I went over to find out what they are. They are chestnuts that are roasted or steamed.

@Devi: They roast or steam the nuts inside the pods/husks.

A magnificent tree which has a lot of fruits ! The harvest must be good ! And the grilled sweet chestnuts are delicious ! I like very much this scene, the tones of greens and the beautiful reflections on the water in the background.

It's a very good actiion shot of this fellow collecting chestnuts. I've never seen a tree with chestnuts on it.
