This isn't a real cave but a small slot canyon eroded in the bentonite. There are several of these near the park entrance. Cathedral Gorge is a Nevada State Park. Some of these caves go back quite a long way. They are narrow and claustrophobic. In one, I saw a piece of lumber wedged between cave walls a few feet over my head. Back in the days when plays were presented here, a blanket was thrown over the board to create a dressing room.
