Rabbitbrush

Posted by Steve Rice (Olympia, United States) on 10 August 2018 in Plant & Nature.

Our old friend that you see on almost all my fall trips to the Desert Southwest. Paiute families watched this plant closely as summer ended. Its blooming meant it was time to move to the high country to collect pinyon nuts, an important and favorite food source.
