The Corner of East & Main Streets

Posted by
Steve Rice (Olympia, United States) on 24 August 2018 in Cityscape & Urban.

After a winter spent back in Panguitch, the settlers returned again and the first home was built in March 1876 by William Alvey. The first settlers built many homes using native bricks and as a result those homes are still standing. These old brick houses I found rather intriguing. The brickwork seems to be in remarkably good shape.

I always have the heart a little squeezed to see closed houses either closed shutters or still abandoned houses. This one did not miss charm nevertheless and your composition is extra

Yes, it looks well built together and there is hardly a brick missing anywhere. Great detail in black and white.
