The Wash

Posted by Steve Rice (Olympia, United States) on 25 September 2018 in Landscape & Rural.

The old dead tree was at the beginning of this wash. We are looking back the way I've come down it. This is not the place to be in a rain even if the rain is miles away.

Yes I can see how perilous that could be... interesting how it's been carved so neatly by the elements.

It looks so dry but could be deadly if there is even a small flash flood.

Excellent perspective looking inside "the wash". There is a certain feeling of the walls closing in and just the idea of water rushing through is somewhat unsettling. Looks beautiful when dry though :-)
