Hi Little One

Posted by
Steve Rice (Olympia, United States) on 28 June 2019 in Animal & Insect.

Marmots at Palouse Falls. The marmots sunbathe right at the edge of the cliffs that drop off more than 200 feet (61 meters) straight down. As we arrived at the park, a reader board warned of the danger of the cliffs. They reference the four recent deaths that had occurred there. The marmots aren't worried at all.

They are used to living on the edge of a high cliff. I'm scared. The skittish creatures are the ones.

Wonderful capture ! The Marmots are in their element but it is moving to think that people died there just out of recklessness...

These marmonts are cute. Some people say the warning is simply a test of their ability. They are the ones that fall.

Wow! They are right at the edge! They are really cute. I remember seeing marmots at Yellowstone years ago. That is really sad about the recent deaths that happened. Seems like every year you hear about people accidentally falling off cliffs at National Parks.
